This camps gives campers a chance to work on their jazz improv chops and learn the roles in a small jazz ensemble. Students will enjoy specialty classes such as combo class, jazz theory and improvisation, and a short listening class that will tie directly with what you are learning at camp. This is not a camp for absolute beginners—students must have some background in jazz and demonstrate proficiency on their instrument which will allow them to learn tunes quickly and with some independence.

Performance Camp offers young musicians a supportive environment and expert instruction in music theory, songwriting, music marketing, and musical style. Campers will enjoy collaborating with others, refining a set of cover tunes, and writing original songs together.
The week culminates in an exciting professional stage performance where campers showcase their hard work and creativity.
