Learn the roles in a small jazz combo,
jazz theory and improvisation
Grades 8 to 12
Jazz Combo Camp gives campers a chance to work out their jazz improv chops and learn the roles in a small jazz ensemble. Students will enjoy specialty classes such as combo class, jazz theory and improvisation, and a short listening class that will tie directly into what they are learning at camp. This is not a camp for absolute beginners—students must have some background in jazz and demonstrate proficiency on their instrument which will allow them to learn tunes quickly and with some independence. Students must be entering grades 8 through 12.

Technique, Record live Musicians
Ages 12 to 17
Audio Production Camp allows students to discover how audio equipment and software can transform recorded tracks into chart-topping hits. Each day includes hands-on instruction with
industry-standard recording equipment.
The week ends with the recording of a live musicians.

Performance Camp offers musicians a supportive environment and expert instruction in Music Theory, Music Marketing, Songwriting, and Musical Style. Campers will have the time of their life meeting new people, refining a set of cover tunes, and collaborating as songwriters. The camp culminates with a Professional Stage Performance. Ages 9 -17

Musicianship is about preparing students not just to be players of an instrument but to play well with others, be aware of musical surroundings and hone listening skills while having a great time doing making music.

- Face Arts Music’s summer music program is high-energy, fun, spirited, and inspiring. In this environment, our students place emphasis on musicianship, personal responsibility and supporting one another. Campers perform a concerts, on stage with lights, mics and audience on Sunday following the camp.
